The United Methodist Women of Langhorne United Methodist Church is a community of women whose purpose is the know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, develop a creative support fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through global ministries of the church.
The United Methodist Women meet the second Tuesday of each month, 7pm in Fellowship Hall, September thru June. Meeting include social time with refreshments, music, devotions and meaningful programs by members or guest speakers. A short business meeting is conducted by the President. In June, we host a salad supper inviting women from neighboring churches to attend as our guests. A very special guest speaker is obtained for the very popular and well attended event.
While the foremost purpose of the UMW is local and worldwide missions, other activities include a prayer shawl ministry, assisting our own church in various projects, supporting the homeless who are served by LUMC's monthly dinner with comfort items and a Christmas tree decorated with ornaments containing cash donations for the Pastor's Discretionary fund.
All Women and Men are invited to join our group.
